Congratulations to Utopia Center Clients who Received DIQ on the PQA

The Utopia Center would like to congratulate Greenbriar Early Learning Academy in Atlanta, Georgia and Just for Kids Child Care Center in Tucker, Georgia for Documented Improved Quality ^SM (DIQ) in their Georgia Pre-K Programs.    Both centers received high marks on the State-evaluated Program Quality Assessment (PQA) after about two weeks of intense technical assistance and regular check-ups from The Utopia Center.  Success on the PQA is not guaranteed, however, currently the Utopia Center has a 100% success rate of DIQ for programs where the annual PQA has been completed by state consultants.  Guidance from The Utopia Center, leadership from center owners/directors, and commitment from pre-k staff guaranteed improved quality, which is documented on the PQA.  To learn more about The Utopia Center's Pre-K Program Consulting Leading to DIQ please contact Ayana Dereef at (404) 232-9549 or email dereef@theutopiacenter.com .   

Newest Bright from the Start Approved Training-Levels of Supervision Training

In this three hour course, providers will explore three levels of supervision-Inadequate, Adequate, and Active. This course would benefit providers who may have been cited  for Lack of Supervision and providers moving from basic standards to higher levels of quality.  Here is what care givers who have completed this new  training are saying:

Professional Learning Units (PLUs) are On the Way

The Utopia Center has been approved to offer PLU credit.  The ability to award PLUs will benefit administrators and teachers who hold Georgia teaching certifications and need PLUs to renew their certifications.  Please check back in August for course offerings.

Educational Trainers and Consultants Needed

The Utopia Center is growing and we are looking for experienced trainers with at least three years experience working with children in a child care setting or after-school program.  Part-time (evening and weekends) and full-time positions available.   Please send resume to info@theutopiacenter.com for more information.

Guided by CEO, Ayana Dereef, The Utopia Center is a Limited Liability Company registered in the state of Georgia that provides early childhood training and consultation globally.  Mrs. Dereef has served locally for Fulton County School System, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and The Federal Peachtree-Summit Child Development Center.  Nationally, she has served some of the most prestigious child care centers in the nation including Newcomb Nursery School in New Orleans and The Rita Gold Center in New York.  She has presented at a number of conferences nationally including the California Association for the Education of Young Children and globally including the 1st Global Conference on Philosophy with Children at Mansfield College of Oxford University in Oxford, England.    

Whether she is providing free consultations to non-profit centers in her community or presenting to her colleagues from around the world, Ayana Dereef provides every client with the most up-to-date trainings and consultation.
